Runaway Baby

Something fun and new that Baby Spoon has been up to lately is playing a fun game with Mommy called, "Runaway Baby." It usually happens whenever Mommy is drawing water for Babykin's bath time. It doesn't matter if she's clothed or not, our Tiny Wonder will take off like a rocket down the hallway with Mommy chasing after her. Tiny giggles bounce off the walls and echoes down the hall as Mommy calls out "Runaway Baby, Runaway Baby!" Our silly little Bunkins loves this game. As do we. As do we. :D -Daddy Spoon.

Bumps on the Horizon

Someone cute is really fussy this morning. Mommy Spoon had a difficult time giving our Tiny Wonder her breakfast this morning. So Mommy took a look and discovered some bumps on the top row of Babykin's gums. Bumps! That means teeth! It seems that the cutest smile in the world is about to get even cuter. :D -Daddy Spoon.

Slow Recovery

The Spoon family was attacked over the weekend by a nasty 48-hour flu bug. Babykins picked it up from one of the other kids at the day care center and passed it onto Mommy Spoon, then to Grandma. This Daddy Spoon has had one busy week taking care of everyone here at home. But everyone is passing through quite well, and I'm glad that things are getting better even if the recovery process is a slow one. I can't wait to have a fully healthy Spoon family again. It will be great to play and have fun with everyone once they are better! -Daddy Spoon.

Smiles on our Faces

The other day we brought Punkins to the pediatrician because we thought that she had an ear infection. Happily, after the doctor told us that she was fine. And that puts a smile on our faces.
Another thing to be happy about is that Babykins is over 22 lbs. She's definitely getting some weight back after going through a liquid-only diet the other week during her chest cold. That makes us happy too! -Daddy Spoon.

Getting the Potty Started

So I learned about a big surprise that happened while Mommy Spoon, Babykins and Grandma were down at the coast over the weekend. Baby Spoon made potty! She seemed to be considering making a bank deposit during her bath-time but Mommy was too clever for a certain Tiny Wonder and plunked her onto the toilet instead. Even though Bunkins didn't know what she had done, she was happy about it and clapped her hands with pride. Our little 9 month-old has some serious ambition, doesn't she?
